Welcome to Raise the Rooster,  our good friend Larry Dean "Rooster" Brewer passed away Sept. 10, 2007 and it was a sad day for all of us.  We had our first annual benefit concert series for Rooster in October 2007.  Our second annual concert was November 13th, 2008 in Lexington, Ky at Cadillac Ranch.  Proceeds of our concerts are funding a scholarship fund through the Morehead State University Foundation.  This fund will provide scholarships for artists from the Appalachian Coal Basin, including Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee and Arkansas to attend Morehead State as undergraduates.
